Delete your Manifest account

Most of Manifest never needed an account. If you made one to share a quote, vote, or hold a handle, you can have it deleted. Here is what goes, how to ask, and what happens next.

What deleting your account removes

• Your email address and your account identifier.
• Your handle. It rests for 30 days before anyone else can claim it.
• Everyone you follow and everyone who follows you. Their counts stay correct.
• Your votes on community quotes.
• The quotes you made public. They come off the community, and nothing on our side connects them to you any more.

What stays on your phone

Your playlists, your saved clips and quotes, and your voice recordings are not part of your account, so deleting your account does not touch them. They sit on your phone, and we never receive them. If you want those gone as well, delete the app. If you later set it up again from your phone's own backup, that backup can bring your playlists and saved clips and quotes back, and on iPhone your recordings too (from version 1.0.1, on Android, your recordings are left out of that backup).

How to ask

Two ways, same result.

• In the app: open Settings and tap Delete your account. It brings you to this page.
• By email: write to novee.manifestapp@proton.me from the address you signed in with, using the subject line Delete my account. The button below opens that email for you.

We reply first to check the request really came from you, which is why it needs to come from the account's own address.

What happens next

We confirm by reply, then remove everything listed above within 30 days. When it is done, we tell you.
